Freshliance Atlas Log ultra low temperature data logger helps to safeguard valuable biological cultures like cell lines, embryos, or bacteria cultures.

Lab incubators are temperature-controlled growing mediums that work within the biological range of 5°C to 70°C. There are a few different types of incubators. For example, CO2 incubators are a type of laboratory incubator generally used for cultivating embryos and live cell cultures. Other types incorporate cryogenic technology to deliver ultra-low temperatures to the growing chamber.

The importance to monitor the temperature inside incubators

Most laboratory-grade incubators work using specialized water-or-air jackets and use direct heat to maintain the temperature around the culture chamber. This process requires stringent temperature monitoring for optimal growth of cell cultures. Deviations in temperature could inhibit growth or even destroy cultures. Temperature sensors are included units, but how do you know that you can always rely on your sensor? One way to ensure the correct temperature is to use a second thermometer. You can check this against the second sensor temperature and if they’re different, you know the sensor needs to be recalibrated.

Our solution

Freshliance Atlas Log ultra low temperature data logger can be placed on the top part of the outer wall of the incubator. The main body of the temperature logger with LCD screen remains outside of the incubator so that temperature can be read easily. The external probe protrudes slightly into the chamber of the incubator. Freshliance Atlas Log ultra low temperature recorder allows for real-time alerts regarding any sudden changes in incubator temperature. Laboratory personnel can respond in a timely manner to temperature threats. Temperature data loggers provide the data file and report and assist in documenting incubator temperatures over any dedicated span of time. Researchers can use the reports of ultra low temperature data logger to create controlled environments suitable for optimizing xenograft and cell line models for health and growth. This puts historical temperature data at your fingertips making it easier to analyze cell growth.
