Smart Cold Room Environmental Monitoring and Alerts

Cold room operation always faces practical pain points: thick insulation walls weaken wireless signals, constant low temperature and high humidity easily disable ordinary monitoring tools. Unnoticed temperature drift, sudden power cuts and unstable networks often lead to food or pharmaceutical inventory deterioration, while manual logging brings incomplete records and audit troubles. For single independent cold rooms and standalone freezing spaces, Freshliance offers steady and reliable real-time monitoring and alerts by combining GAEA series Bluetooth gateway G1000-S with BlueTag TH10R/TH30R Bluetooth data loggers.

All devices undergo rigorous validation before factory delivery, fully complying with ISO 17025 laboratory standards, with traceable ILAC-accredited validation certificates to guarantee consistent, accurate measurement performance for cold chain regulatory compliance.

To adapt to different on-site network conditions, the G1000-S Bluetooth gateway comes in two practical versions: Wi-Fi/LAN and 4G/LAN. Users can flexibly select one based on actual site layout to ensure stable data transmission in harsh cold storage environments. Install at least one gateway in each closed space or room, and mount it centrally whenever possible—prefer ceiling or high wall placement—to minimize interference from metal structures, concrete walls, and large machinery. One Bluetooth gateway supports up to 30 Bluetooth data sensors in one single cold room. Fitted with Type-C DC 5V/2A power input and optional 4000mAh or 8000mAh backup battery, the gateway keeps running during power failures, with wide working temperature from -30℃ to +70℃ to fit long-term cold room use.

Bluetooth cold room alert sensors adopt built-in rechargeable lithium batteries, fully charged within 2 to 3 hours. Each sensor features one built-in probe (-30℃~+70℃; ±0.5℃ F.S./0~100%RH; ±3%RH(25℃, 20%~80%RH); ±5%RH(Others)) and supports up to two external probes, enabling flexible multi-point monitoring. The external probes are well suited for conventional cold storage ranges over -30℃~+70℃ and even ultra-low temperature monitoring of -90℃~+200℃/ -196℃~+200℃ for special industrial and biomedical scenarios.

All key settings are fully adjustable. Operators can freely modify sensor logging intervals, alarm thresholds, the interval of collecting sensor data by the gateway and cloud upload frequency to match on-site monitoring demands. They can also rename the gateway and its sensors for simpler and clearer device management.

This complete cold room environmental monitoring and alerts solution supports remote online data tracking via mobile phones and computers anytime anywhere, and sends SMS, email and APP push notifications for temperature deviation, humidity abnormality, as well as low battery reminders for both gateways and sensors. During network failure, each Bluetooth loggers can locally cache up to 20,000 readings per probe, and offline data will be automatically uploaded after network recovery to ensure complete records.

With this IoT cold room system, operators remotely check and manage multiple cold room devices via phones or computers, with multi-level management authority optional for team and enterprise-level cold chain supervision. Easy to install and fully compliant with global cold chain standards, it effectively reduces manual workload, prevents costly inventory spoilage, and streamlines routine regulatory audits backed by ISO 17025 ILAC-traceable calibration documentation.
