Temperature excursions during pharmaceutical transport can directly impact product stability, particularly for vaccines, biologics, insulin, and other medicines that are typically stored between 2 °C and 8 °C. Some formulations are highly sensitive to freezing, while others may tolerate short-term deviations depending on validated stability data. Even minor temperature deviations may result in product rejection, financial loss, or potential patient safety risks. The AlertTag T20 disposable time temperature indicator (TTI) is developed to provide clear and reliable temperature verification in these controlled shipping environments.

Unlike single-threshold freeze indicators, AlertTag T20 time temperature indicator supports four programmable alarm levels, enabling alarm thresholds to be factory-configured according to specific pharmaceutical stability requirements. The corresponding alarm zone number is displayed directly on the LCD screen:
1 – L1: < 0°C
2 – L2: < 2°C (Accumulated 12h)
3 – H1: > 8°C (Accumulated 12h)
4 – H2: > 25°C

This design enables both immediate excursion detection and cumulative exposure monitoring. Since certain pharmaceutical products remain acceptable after brief deviations but may become non-compliant after prolonged exposure, cumulative alarm logic provides a more appropriate basis for disposition decisions. The LCD screen displays clear √ / × indicators along with alarm zone numbers (1–4), enabling rapid assessment at the point of receipt without additional equipment or software.
Additionally, with ±0.5 °C accuracy, a tamper-resistant design, and a –40 °C to 70 °C operating range, the AlertTag T20 single-use time temperature indicator supports refrigerated, frozen, and controlled ambient shipments within one disposable solution. By combining configurable alarm thresholds with clear visual verification, it helps manufacturers, logistics providers, and healthcare facilities manage temperature risk, simplify acceptance decisions, and maintain supply chain accountability — making it particularly suitable for vaccine distribution, biologics transport, and cross-border pharmaceutical logistics.
